Officers responded to a report of a domestic battery incident in the 4200 Blk SW 34th St on Dec 13th. During the course of the investigation for the domestic battery the officers were told of a firearm in a nearby room. Locating the firearm officers discovered the weapon was listed as stolen from a local pawn shop.
At the conclusion of the battery investigation, Billy Anthony Trotter-Davis, 22, was transported to the Department of Correction on charges of Aggravated Domestic Battery, possession of stolen property, and Felon in possession of a firearm.

Altogether TPD Records was able to collect $155.39 in cash to further buy gifts for the children on their list. Records was also able to send 4 bundles of gifts along with the cash donation.

Month to month comparisons show the City has seen a decline of 13 crimes- noted by the “-” in homicide,rape,robbery to individual and Aggravated Assault/Battery.
Year to year comparison illustrates the City has seen an increase of 46 crimes- noted by the “+” in the homicides,robbery to individual,robbery to business and Aggravated Assault/Battery.

On October 10th, 2017 the suspect entered the Walgreens located on 29th and Gage and the Walgreens on 21st and Fairlawn and used 2 stolen credit cards to purchase visa cards. He left in this vehicle that is believed to be an early 2000’s Lincoln LS.
On October On October On October 8th , 2017 the suspect used a stolen bank card at , 2815 SW 29 the Dillons located at 2815 SW 29th in the Brookwood Shopping Center. She was last seen driving this vehicle.
Homicide in the 1200 Blk of SE Long
On Monday, November 27th, 2017 at 12:51 am Topeka Police Officers were dispatched to the 1200 blk of SE Long in reference a shooting that had just occurred. Upon Officers arrival they located an adult male subject that was suffering from a gunshot wound. Unfortunately, the victim did succumb to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene by AMR and the Topeka Fire Department.
Patrol Officers, Canine, Detectives and Crime Scene investigators are currently investigating this incident, there more information to follow.
