Crisis can happen to anyone, at anytime. When people come to the police department for assistance, they dont usually bring with them all of the personal care items they may need- this is especially true when babies come in with the families.
A local group found out about the TPDs need to provide for the little ones who come into the station while their family seeks help.
The WITW Oz Outlawz Chapter” (Women in the Wind-Oz Chapter) donated several packages of diapers, wipes, bottles and pacifiers to the TPD to help out-
a much needed donation that will be put to good use- Thank you much!

FOP Foundation Fundraiser- No Shave November
The month of November brings a yearly fundraiser for the TPD.
Chief Kramer and members of the Topeka Police Department are participating in a fundraiser for the FOP Foundation- “No Shave November”. Our officers may have a little more hair on their face or color on their hair/nails but it is all for great causes.
Employees elect to participate by donating $50. During the dates of
November 1st- November 30th, male officers may grow facial hair or a beard and female officers may color their hair or their nails in colors outside the normal policy parameters.
All donations will go toward the FOP Foundation.
The foundation supports local charities such as:
COPS n KIDS (Formally Shop with a Cop) – around Christmas time
FOPA (Fraternal Order of Police Auxiliary) – Run to Remember
Ronald McDonald House- Pull a Plane Challenge
