Arrest made in Aggravated Battery Case

One arrested on Aggravated Battery case
TOPEKA, Kan. – On January 31st at approximately 8:00 p.m., TPD Officers responded to the 2300 Blk SW Central Park on a citizen call of someone having been shot. On arrival the victim told officers the incident had occurred several hours prior to the citizen call. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The injuries received were considered non-life-threatening.
The Officers investigation determined there to be possibly two suspects with all individuals knowing each other. The location of the crime scene was identified in the 1800 Blk SW Lincoln. A search warrant was granted and conducted in the early morning hours of February 1st.
Shane C R Vobach, 43, was located within the residence and transported to the Shawnee County Department of Corrections on charges of aggravated battery.
Detectives continue to investigate identifying the second suspect involved. No description of that individual is currently available.
